Ainstein Billing & Subscription Terms

Subscription and billing terms for the Ainstein AI-led data enrichment platform.

These Billing & Subscription Terms ("Billing Terms") apply to all subscriptions to the Ainstein service provided by ROI-AI Limited (New Zealand company number 7836996). These Billing Terms form part of the Roi-AI Terms of Use. By subscribing to Ainstein, you agree to these Billing Terms.

1. Subscription Plans

Ainstein is available on the following subscription plans:

  • Individual Core and Individual Premium — billed monthly, per user
  • Agency Core — 12-month contract, billed monthly. Tier (A through E) is determined by the size of your connected CRM database
  • Agency Premium — add-on to Agency Core only, billed monthly at a tier-specific price

2. Pricing and Currency

All prices are excluding tax. Tax is calculated at checkout and shown clearly on all invoices in accordance with the laws applicable to your region.

Subscription pricing is available in AUD, GBP, EUR, USD, and NZD. Your subscription currency is set at signup and cannot be changed after that point. Credit pack purchases are charged in USD globally, regardless of your subscription currency. Regional prices are fixed and do not fluctuate with exchange rate movements.

3. Free Trial

New customers are eligible for a 20-day free trial on Core features. A valid payment method must be provided to start a trial.

During your trial:

  • You receive a one-time credit allocation: 100 credits for Individual accounts, 250 credits for Agency accounts. These do not replenish during the trial.
  • Only Core features are available. Premium features are not accessible.
  • Credit pack purchases are not available during the trial period.
  • There is no CRM size limit during the trial.
  • If your trial credits run out before the trial period ends, credit-consuming actions are blocked. Non-credit features remain available. You must upgrade to a paid plan to resume credit-consuming actions — you cannot purchase credit packs while on a trial.

At the end of the 20-day trial, your account will automatically convert to a paid Core subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Individual accounts convert to Individual Core. Agency accounts convert to the Agency Core tier matching your CRM database size at conversion. You will be notified by email ahead of this conversion.

Existing Roi-AI customers enabling Ainstein from within the Roi-AI platform are also eligible for the 20-day trial on the same terms.

4. Credits

Ainstein uses credits to control access to certain paid features, including contact detail access.

4.1 Included Credits

Each subscription plan includes a monthly credit allocation, which resets at the start of each billing cycle. Included credits do not roll over to the next cycle.

4.2 Purchased Credits (Credit Packs)

Paid subscribers may purchase additional credits at any time via credit packs. Credit packs are priced and charged in USD globally, regardless of your subscription currency. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and roll over until they expire. They do not expire when you change plans or downgrade.

4.3 Credit Consumption Order

When credits are consumed, purchased credits are used first in order of purchase date (oldest first). Included credits are used after all purchased credits are exhausted.

5. Credit Alerts and Auto Top-Up

You will receive email and in-app alerts when your credit balance reaches the following thresholds:

  • 100 credits remaining — warning
  • 50 credits remaining — warning and prompt to upgrade or purchase more credits
  • 0 credits remaining — credit access blocked

Auto top-up is enabled by default. When your balance falls to 100 credits, auto top-up will automatically purchase the credit pack you have selected and charge your payment method on file. Credits are added only after a successful payment. You can change your selected credit pack or disable auto top-up at any time from your billing settings.

6. Zero Credit Balance

When your credit balance reaches zero, credit-consuming actions (including contact detail access) are blocked. Non-credit product features remain available. There is no overage billing. Negative credit balances are not permitted.

7. Payment Methods

We accept credit cards and direct debit (direct debit availability varies by region). All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your payment details are held by Stripe and are not stored on Ainstein systems.

8. Payment Failure and Retry

If a payment fails, we will retry in line with Stripe's smart retry guidelines. The total retry window will not exceed 5 business days from the date of the first failure. You will be notified by email on the first failure and after the final retry attempt.

Your account access remains fully active during the retry window. If payment is not received after the final retry, access to your account will be restricted until successful payment is made.

9. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Plan Changes

You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle — there is no mid-cycle proration. On downgrade, any purchased credits remain valid until their expiry date. Included monthly credits adjust to reflect your new plan from the next billing cycle.

10. Cancellation

10.1 Individual Plans

Individual subscriptions are monthly and may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your account until that date.

10.2 Agency Plans

Agency subscriptions are on a 12-month contract, billed monthly. Agency contracts cannot be cancelled before the end of the 12-month contract term. Cancellation at the end of the contract term takes effect at the end of the final billing period.

10.3 No Refunds

All subscription fees and credit pack purchases are non-refundable. This includes fees charged on trial auto-conversion.

11. Agency CRM Tiering

Agency plan pricing is based on your connected CRM database size, which is evaluated daily. If your database crosses a tier threshold, your plan tier will be adjusted and the new pricing will apply from the start of your next billing cycle. There is no mid-cycle adjustment. You will receive a warning by email when your CRM database is within 5,000 records of the next pricing tier.

12. CRM Sync Entitlements (Agency Premium Only)

Agency Premium plans include monthly CRM sync caps that vary by tier. Auto sync stops silently when the cap is reached. Manual sync is blocked at the cap, with a message displayed in the platform. Sync caps reset each billing cycle.

13. Invoices and Tax

Invoices and receipts are available in your billing portal, are downloadable as PDF, and include a link to the current online terms. All invoices display tax clearly as calculated by Stripe Tax. Tax applies to subscriptions and credit pack purchases. All prices shown exclude tax.

14. Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Where a price change affects your existing subscription, we will give you at least 60 days' written notice before the change takes effect. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your subscription in accordance with Section 10.

15. Data Ownership

When you use credits to access contact details through Ainstein, you are purchasing access to data in the Ainstein dataset. Ainstein owns the underlying data. The identity or cost of any upstream data sources is not disclosed to customers.
